Meet the Captain and Crew   

Capt., Dive Master and First Mate Stan McBride
Qualifications: • USCG 100 Ton Master Captain Document with towing endorsement • Merchant Mariner Document • FCC Marine Radio Operator Permit • TWIC • PADI Dive Master Certification. Stan has a degree in Applied Science in Marine Technology. He has worked as a scientific diver, boat captain, and marine technician with the Division of Marine Fisheries on the Artificial Reef Monitoring Program. In addition, he has a wealth of information on topics concerning marine biology, history, and oceanography of the areas from Cape Hatteras to Cape Fear. He is also an accomplished Dive Master with many years of experience. Stan’s motto is “Life is an Adventure for Those Who Choose to Live Their Dreams” and views our customers as part of his and our extended family. He is very helpful and enjoys our customers as much as he enjoys diving, some say more. He will be more than happy to help you in every aspect of your diving experience here at the Cape Fear Dive Center.

Dive Master - Marty DiQuattro
Marty has been crew aboard the Hawksbill since 2006. He lives locally in Kure beach and has traveled to dive destinations around the world. He is one of our full time Dive Masters and is very knowledgable when it comes to SCUBA. He has been on and around boats most of his life as well as aquiring his basic seamanship through the US Coast Guard. Always willing to lend a helping hand and give advice, he is well appreciated here at Cape Fear Dive Center

Jason Allen
Jason is currently a student at Cape Fear Community College in the Marine Technology Program. He has been on and around boats for the majority of his life. He loves fishing, scuba diving and anything pertaining to the ocean. His certifications include PADI Advanced Open Water, Nitrox, and Emergency First Responder. Jason loves living in Wilmington and enjoys meeting new people from all walks of life.

Elliot Weston
Elliot has always been passionate about the ocean and its occupants. This lead him to attend Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA where he majored in Fisheries Biology and received a minor in both scientific and leadership diving. In Northern California he learned that good visibility is 10 feet, warm water is anything over 55 °F and everyone pees in their wetsuit. He is AAUS certified scientific diver with experience working with Reef Check California, an experienced deckhand on party fishing boats and always willing to help newcomers into the lifestyles of the sea. Fishing and diving are what he does and who he is.
